I talked about peak oil theory on the FP once. It’s a model of what happens to oil production as the fields deplete. It was developed by Dr. Hubbert while he worked for Shell, an oil corporation who would be very interested in being to model and predict when oil fields will deplete.
None of that means peak oil theory isn’t pinko commie lie-beral gobbledygook meant only to rob us enthusiasts of fun cars to drive and make government policy mandating electric econoboxes for everyone, though. According to the FP, anyway.

Anytime anyone says anything that even remotely relates to politics on the fp, it seems like it descends into a shit throwing contest on both sides. I realize that people tend to be assholes on the internet, but it’s disturbing how toxic it all is.
